World = Acceptance

How do you define the world? For me, I define it as general or common. If people accept something as common , general or normal hence it is one of the world 'attributes'. When people generally use money for transactions hence we can say that the world's transactions are using money. It is what people generally accept. Yeah, this writings are inspired by the definition of money itself where money is defined as a generally accepted means of transaction.

Here, I'm not going to 'preach' about money and it's uses but rather the term "world equals to acceptance". It is a philosophy that I want to talk about. What is your world? Your world is the 'world' that accepts you. When you're doing something and that something satisfies you, you feel like being accepted and you'll think in your mind "This is it.This is my world". It is a kind of 'place' where you feels like 'home'.

Why people need relationships? Because when you seek relationship, you seek a 'world'. You seek a group of people who accept you. There are various examples that I can give here. First one would be, "Why is there a gang of teenagers 'promoting' a culture? Let's say hip hop for the example. Teenagers who adore hip hop dress like one and act like one. Why they do that? It is because they accept hip hop as their world.

Another example would be, why some teenagers do bad things? We know that they do certain thing so that their gang will respect them. All those immoral thingies like illegal racing, immoral acts and such; they do that because they want to be accepted by their gang. As to why they never care about people's view on them is because they no longer regard the people as their 'world'. When people rejects them, they feel nothing because they now live in a different world.

The definition of this 'world' is not something meek or trivial but a heavy one as a 'world' is a place one belongs to. It is 'home'. As it is a 'home', it is something worth protecting hence many people will stop at nothing to protect their 'home'. Going back to the context of teenagers, for them who is still searching their own path of life; this is the crucial stage which parents must fully keep their focus high on their teenage child. But still, as the proverb states that "don't cry over spilled milk"; there is also another phrase that goes "it is never too late for anything". Even proverb has its refutation which almost identical to the principle of Zen. Though the development of a child 'world' must begin as early as 7 of age, if some parents somehow neglect their child at this stage; it is never too late to teach them, to show them the 'world' that you want your child belongs. Just have some care and show it not in a warden's way but that of a friend.
